Writing Tea
Happy Holidays my Tea Sippers!! (Does that work? I dunno, I’m trying something new!)
Anyway, I am so sorry for not delivering the newsletter on a monthly basis in 2024, but I promise in 2025 that I will get better. I mean it.
Losing Sight is about to be released in two months!! I am so excited. The best news pre-release has been that Losing Sight received a starred Kirkus review! I was in total shock. This is the equivalent of Roger Ebert giving your movie two thumbs up. (Ok, that reference totally aged me LOL).
Such a dope quote! Read the full review here.
Losing Sight also received a favorable review in Publisher’s Weekly as well. I am so thankful folks are digging my little whimsical middle-age love story.
I also got to listen to all the audiobook narrator selections. I am so thankful to both Generous Press and Spotify for involving me in the election process. I sent them an extensive list of my favorite narrators and they came back with six (3 male, 3 female) voices that would have all been perfect for Tanika and Gideon. In the end, I picked the voices that I knew would move readers, fit the narrative, and also, of course, make you swoon. In the end, I chose Charlie L. Wood and Winston James.
I had so many amazing choices for the female narrator. It was so tough. I’ve been friends with Charlie aka LaNecia Edwards for a while on TikTok. I’ve seen how she narrates books on her TikTok lives. Her work ethic is impeccable. Not to mention, she does amazing accents (and we need an accent for Colin! He’s British!).
Now, Winston James? Baby, that was a no-brainer! As soon as I saw his name, I knew it was going to be something amazing. And he delivered in his sample of reading Gideon. He got his pain, his frustration, his sadness. All in just a few pages. And not to mention, I needed to hear Winston say …. “Don’t run from the d*** baby. Let me give it to you like I know you want it.” Whew!! fans self
The audiobook will release the same day as the book (Feb 11) and you can pre-save it on Spotify right now.
Let me stress that preorders are crucial to the success of a book. If you want to see it on the shelves of major retailers (i.e. B&N) then you have to preorder! You still have time! Pre-Order the book here.

In other writing news…
Real Girls Get Down released on December 1 and to my surprise, people were here for my sci-fi/erotica/dash of urban fiction mash up. I understand people were upset by the ending, but this was just a teaser. Like a book trailer. More of Simon, Kami and the synth Honey will be back for another short novella installment at the end of 2025.RGGG (as my reader called it) is only on KU.
The Opportunity, the last book (for now) in the Secrets Series, has a release date. April 15. Audio, Ebook, Paperback… all of it will be available on the 15th. I know that seems far away but it’ll be here before you know it. It is off to the editor now. Shout out to my team of faithful beta readers and sensitivity readers who did a damn good job of helping me. Special love to my podcast partner, Dr. Yakini Etheridge, who helped with all the therapists’ dialogue. She was proud of me, saying it did pretty good for the most part so getting her second set of eyes was so important.. So what’s the book about? I am still keeping it under wraps, but here is a trope graphic to get your mind going.
Book 2 in the “Boss Chick Village” (i guess that’s what we are sticking with) is going to be done really soon. (Ok, maybe not that soon. I am thinking March 1.) It is going to be so ridiculous but I pray you all enjoy it. Ant and Jackie are at each other’s throats (mostly Jackie LOL) but trust me, the drama is going to pay off with lots of laughs and of course, lust.
My agent and I had a meeting and I gave her the run-down of my 2025 goals. When I mentioned my desire to write a “monster” romance, she was like “Yeah so, let’s move that up.” So yeah, a monster romance, under T.M. Richardson, will be coming late 2025/early 2026. I am putting “monster” in quotes because while there won’t be tentacles or anything, there will be magic, a demon, and some freaky stuff happening to our main FMC that is beyond her control.
My only other goal for 2025 is to actually write this BDSM Christmas Novella, also under T.M. Richardson. And to start Book 3, the next (maybe last) book in the Boss Chick Village series. I think that’s clearly enough for now.
The Lumberjack is getting pushed to 2026. So that’s that. I am holding myself accountable for all things.
Podcast/Social Media Tea
The Podcast is going strong. This December, we have two amazing podcasts available. The first one with indie author Jade Olivia dropped December 6.
And on December 20, we have a special podcast with a panel of Caribbean Romance authors for Christmas, including one of my absolute faves Rilzy Adams! I have legit read every single Rilzy novella that she has. Treble is my absolute favorite. We talk about their romances, island traditions, and of course, what the genre means to them. Special love to Maella of Tim Tim Bwa Fik! who came to us with this idea and I of course said yes!
In the meantime, stay tuned for the rest of the season’s podcast. Every other Friday!
Random Thoughts
AKA “Where will Tati Be” I am going to give you all a rundown of the places and things I’ll be doing in 2025. No need to write it down, the graphic is also on social media.
I am so excited to be confirmed for Steamy Lit Con 2025, in Anaheim! It’s going to be a family affair. My kid is going to flip her lid when she realizes we are heading to Disneyland. (LOL)
Of course, there will be more events in between. Follow me on IG (@RichardWritesOn) for more info on my schedule. And if you’re interested in having me talk about Losing Sight (or any of my other books) with your book club, virtual event, or in-store event, please reach out via email at Tati (at) TatiannaRichardson.com
Tati is Reading
Over the Thanksgiving Break, I was deep into my novella audiobook series. It was so easy to pop in the headphones while I was making the dressing or baking the cakes and listen.
The first series I listened to was Them Boys series by Alexandria House. WHEW! They were something else. I can’t say I had a favorite in this series but I liked Shu’s quiet confidence.
The second series was Heavy on the D by Stephanie Nicole Norris. The Den would be the equivalent of the club in All the Queens Men on BET plus. LMAO! IT was such a good series. I didn’t read the last book (Daniella’s) because I hope it comes out on audio soon. Out of all the books, the second one, Strip, was my favorite.
And of course, during work, I listened to another Bev Jenkins historica romancel. I finished A Chance at Love. Lorelie and Jake were true enemies to lovers. She got him all the way together.
That’s it for now! See you all in 2025!
Until next time,
